<span class="Bdyheadline">Application details</span> <p class="bdyText">Photography, animation digital art, video: all of these exciting ways of exploring creativity with young children. That's why here at the Chrisi Bailey Award we want to know just what's happening in your classrooms, clubs, schemes and centres. </p> <p class="bdyText">You can apply as an individual or group or nominate other individuals or groups. To apply please answer the six questions below on no more than three sides of A4 paper. Each question below is followed by some guidelines and criteria for that question. Please read these paragraphs when making your application or nomination. Please mark all parts of your entry clearly with your name, organisation, school or workplace, who you are nominating (if applicable), address, contact telephone number and email address. </p> <p class="bdyText"><span class="subhead">1. Who is involved in the project? </span><br> Applications or nominations are welcomed from individuals and groups working inside or outside the formal education system. </p> <p class="bdyText"><span class="subhead">2. Describe the project</span> <br> Projects should be with children under the age of 10 using media arts. We are interested in seeing initiatives where children have led the creative process. The project must have been completed in the last year; a proposed project will not be accepted. </p> <p class="bdyText"><span class="subhead">3. Why do you think your project is innovative?</span> <br> The project should explore media arts as a visual medium, demonstrating creative and experimental uses of the media, not just a means of recording events. For example, a project about understanding how a camera works or simply documenting a school trip would not be a priority for the Award. </p> <p class="bdyText"><span class="subhead">4. How can your ideas be used?</span> <br> The project should provide a model for other people. For example, it may offer ideas for working across the curriculum. </p> <p class="bdyText"><span class="subhead">5. Describe supporting materials </span><br> Supporting materials can include teacher's/children's notes, examples of children's work etc. </p> <p class="bdyText"><span class="subhead">6. How will you use the Award? </span><br> The panel will look at the ways the Award will continue the project, publicise the project and any other related work. </p> <p class="bdyText">See contacts page for details of where to send entries. Closing date for all entries is Wednesday 31st March 2004. <br> <br> Submitted work may be used on the Chrisi Bailey website, as part of an exhibition of work at the Award ceremony, and in promotion of the Award. The Arts Council takes care to safeguard materials submitted but will not be held responsible for any loss or damage. </p> <p><span class="bdyText">The Award will be made by a panel including representatives from the Bailey family, Arts Council England, Clore Duffield Foundation, Times Educational Supplement, the media arts sector and TAG Learning. </span><span class="bdyText"><br> </span> </p>
