| Chrisi Bailey Award 2004 winners |
| Arts Council England announces the winner of the Chrisi Bailey Award. The award presentation will take place on 9 July in Birmingham. This year’s winner is St George’s CE Primary School, Birmingham. Pupils from the school worked with photographer and digital artist Ming de Nasty. The winning project, Images of Urban Dragons, places art and creativity at the heart of the curriculum and involved year 3 students who were inspired by traditional dragon stories, to bring their own dragon creations to life. The children worked in science making dragon food, in history looking at traditional dragon stories, and in English developing language skills, script writing and performance. Second prize was awarded to Lees Primary School, Bradford and third prize was given to Blandford St Mary First School, Dorset, and Monson Primary School and Naima Jewish Primary School, both in London. The winner will receive £1,000, a selection of multimedia software donated by TAG Learning and a camera from directors Annabel Jankel and Rocky Morton (friends of Chrisi Bailey).
